One of Cork’s premier plumbing services

13 Jan , 2022

Foley’s Plumbing is Cork’s only same-day domestic and commercial plumbing service. It will soon be complemented by Foley’s Electrical, making it a one-stop shop for all your plumbing and electrical requirements.

These are exciting times for the award-winning company which provides a full plumbing and gas plumbing service for domestic and commercial customers. From fixing leaking taps to installing gas and oil heating systems and servicing gas boilers, Foley’s Plumbing has the solution.

Understanding that time is money, Foley’s Plumbing offers the fastest turnaround time in Cork City to get your business back up-and-running should you have a plumbing, electrical or gas issue. The company is fully RGI, SEAI and RECCI registered, meaning you are in the safest hands possible, and is qualified to work on all types of gas plumbing and electrical.

Customers choose Cork’s fastest-growing professional plumbing and electrical company because of its quick response, unrivalled customer service and competitive rates.

“Customer service and reliability are what we pride ourselves on most. We want to change the perception that exists of plumbers being unreliable. When we say we’ll be there, we mean it,” stresses managing director James Foley.

“Our customer service is unparalleled, home or business, we’ll be there. From the very first job we completed right up to the most recent, there’s one thing that all of them have in common and that’s our commitment to our customers. We’re always at the end of the phone and the issue will always be addressed.

“We’re not like most plumbers. We’re always happy to go the extra mile for our customers.”

James has a wealth of experience in the plumbing and heating sector. He ran another company in Cork before moving to New Zealand where he worked in both civil and domestic plumbing. “I worked for a civil plumbing company who were involved in rebuilding Christchurch after it was badly damaged by an earthquake in 2011. Our youngest brother Aidan is also involved as a plumbing supervisor, but will shortly be switching over to estimating and quality control,” James explains.

“When I returned to Ireland in 2015, I saw an opening for a professional plumbing company which was prepared to do the small jobs others didn’t want. There was a massive hole in the market that wasn’t being tapped into. I set up Foley’s Plumbing in 2018 with the aim of catering for the domestic market in particular, having studied for a Business Degree at night in CIT before that.”

Foley’s Plumbing now employs 18 people and continues to go from strength to strength. A strong emphasis on training and upskilling has been central to its growth.

“Our goal is to take all employees from hire to retire,” the affable managing director continues.

“We’re not afraid to give apprentices a chance. Our ethos is to bring through our own apprentices and train them well. We put a big focus on upskilling and training which we see as not just an investment in the business, but also in our employees. We’re growing all the time and hope to double our workforce in the next 12 months.”

James expects this growth to be largely driven by his new company, Foley’s Electrical, which will be headed up by John Callaghan, a highly-experienced electrician from Donegal who he worked with and befriended in New Zealand.

“Because of our outstanding reputation, accountability and brand, people regularly ring us looking for an electrical contractor, so we’ll be able to provide that service as well. At the moment, there’s a month’s waiting list for electricians in Cork, which is the fastest growing city in Europe.

“Our brand is already built and we will bring the same quality to our electrical service as we’ve done with the plumbing side of the business. When you book with us, one of our plumbers will be out to you at the designated and agreed time. The formula will be the exact same.”

Branding and clever marketing have also contributed to the company’s success. All staff are uniformed, while the contractor’s fleet of vans bear its distinctive red and white livery, logo and contact details. Foley’s Plumbing has also embraced modern technology in a big way and is geared to cater for the ‘click and collect’ generation.

Foley’s Plumbing is the best in the business and has the awards to prove it. A former winner of the All-Ireland Business Foundation All-Stars Award – Cork Plumbing Company of the Year, it was recently shortlisted for the 2021 Construction & Building Awards and Cork’s 96FM Best in Cork Awards – Best Tradesperson Category.

As an essential service, the company has remained fully operational during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you have a plumbing or electrical emergency, don’t hesitate to contact the Foley’s Plumbing team immediately. They will call to you today to get your plumbing and electrical system running smoothly again.
