With over 20 years experience, Greeneform has grown to become a well-established, dedicated formwork company that provides mainly large reinforced in-situ framed buildings. Building Ireland found out more from its founder and CEO, John Greene.

When John Greene founded Greeneform back in 2000, he had a vision of providing to clients a committed, safety conscious, reliable business that would go that extra mile for their clients.

Now – 19 years on – his company is thriving with experience in both Ireland and England.

It’s all a far cry from when John first started his venture from his native Dublin, but now Greenform are very much formwork specialists that are committed to quality, safety and, above all, their clients.

Building Ireland caught up with John to learn more about the business – from its growth down through the years to current on-going projects.

“We’re based here at 32E Rosemount Business Park, Ballycoolin Road, Dublin 11,” John outlined.

“We’d specialise in concrete frames, underground car parks and have never been afraid to take on large projects.”

Formwork remains the company’s speciality and Greeneform can provide Doka formwork solutions for most types of structures and geometry.

The team’s extensive experience and expertise include wall formwork, beam formwork, slab formwork, column formwork, climbing formwork, jump-form, slip form, circular formwork, single-sided formwork, shell construction, lift shaft and stairwells.

Greeneform also provides decking, fair face work, V-beams waffle slab and transfer channel, as well as concrete repair and remedial systems, concrete pumping and concrete testing, scaffolding, post tensioning.

Today the company is Dublin’s leading formwork specialists for large type reinforced in-situ framed buildings. They understand the needs of clients and are committed to successful delivery of projects within timelines and budgets.

It’s that kind of trust which sees Greeneform’s clients coming back to them time and time again.

Rewind back 21 years and things were much more for John as he looked to hit the ground running with his business venture.

“We started off small and increased as the years went by. The first three years were definitely tough ones but we got through them and grew,” Greeneform’s CEO explained.

Greeneform now work with Ireland’s leading construction companies, including John Paul Construction, JJ Rhatigan & Company and Marlet.

While the projects just seem to keep coming for the company, what has always mattered most for John since ‘Day One’ is one vital aspect above all else.

Health & Safety has always been the priority at Greeneform and they ensure every aspect is covered to achieve a safe working environment.

The firm will always take all reasonable steps to secure and maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of all of their employees, contractors, clients and members of the public who may be affected by activities.

As a management team, their objective is to maximize the well-being of each employee and their potential to contribute to the development of the company and ensure compliance with legislation, approved codes of Practice and Guidelines relevant to operations.

It is the policy and overall aim of Greeneform to educate each employee with safe work practices and through this education it is envisaged that the employees will work in a safe manner whether or not immediate supervision is present.

Safety is a core company value and safe working is integral part of how they plan, organise and undertake their business activities and operations.

It all combines to make Greeneform the successful company it is today and the man behind it all reckons consistency in quality and safety have always been most paramount.

“We feel that we always deliver for our clients here and, for us, it’s always about quality and safety in production,” John concluded.
