Brehon Construction offers a demolition service from a small domestic property to a large housing estate. All employees are fully trained and are certified in all aspects of their work, safe pass, manual handling, confined spaces CSCS tickets, abrasive wheel and awareness of training. All projects are carried out with a professional commitment to health and safety, quality and the environment. Indeed, the company recycles as much of the debris and waste as possible. It separates all metals and timber, and can supply and operate a mobile crusher which enables it to recycle materials on site, giving a more sustainable project.

Plant hire and haulage services are also offered by the Co. Roscommon-headquartered company, which can provide highly-skilled and experienced operators and modern plant, including excavators, dumpers, telescopic handlers and low loaders, at very competitive prices. Brehon Construction boasts an impressive portfolio of private, public and industrial works. Recent projects include the laying of new floors, construction of new roof and general repairs to Hangar 4 at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnell, Dublin 22, and drainage and ground works at Kilbride Rifle Range in Co. Wicklow. Demolition works have just commenced at the Lough Ree Arms Hotel in Lanesborough, Co. Longford ahead of a complete rebuild in 2016.

Other projects completed in the recent years include the reinstatement of Firing Range in Oranmore, Co. Galway, the excavation of contaminated waste ground and the reinstatement of road, drainage, concrete formwork and road markings at the Fuel Depot in Casement Aerodrome, and the excavation of trenches for new electrical supplies, reinstatement of tarmac and green areas, and internal building works at the Government Buildings in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

“Within the public sector, we do a lot of work for the Department of Defence, Department of Education and local authorities. No job is too big or too small,” explains Gary.

With most of their work concentrated in Dublin, the Brehon’s decided to open an office in Blanchardstown in 2014. Their head office is based in their home-place of Curraghroe, which is situated about halfway between Roscommon town and Lanesborough.
