As one of Ireland’s leading Electrical, Mechanical and Data Communications companies, Tim Kelly Group continues to set the standard through its dedicated service.

Founded by Tim Kelly back in 1974, the company has grown from its modest beginnings in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo through all the various successes and expansions of the business to today’s extensive operation, which involves over 150 skilled and professional employees and four offices nationwide   many of whom have been with us from day one.

This guarantees an unmatched level of expertise and means we always have the right people for the job at hand. The results are projects completed with exemplary safety records and in accordance with the highest standards.

With Branches in Galway, Dublin and Letterkenny The Tim Kelly Group is expanding its wings to all corners of the country and throughout the years a number of things have remained central to the company.

Having started up the business with 20 employees, Tim Kelly snr ushered in the core ethics of its success, which involved hard work on behalf of the clients, high standards among staff and an intense focus on combining quality with efficiency in each project.

“We’re always fighting for more work here all the time,” said Tim. “We felt the downturn big time but it has turned around now and we’re always working on taking our standards to a higher level, which goes a long way.”

We are looking at providing a full BIM services as we feel it can provide an improvement in on-site co ordination and reduce material wasteage, we are also looking into Lean Construction where it can improve the way we manage projects, and hopefully we can provide a more cost efficient and quality service to our clients.

Tim Kelly Group breaks down to three different divisions, which are Electrical, Mechanical and Engineering Services.

Tim Kelly Electrical is known for being one of the leading and most experienced electrical contractors in Ireland who specialise in the provision of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and technology services to a range of sectors including commercial, data centre, manufacturing, infrastructure hospitality, pharmaceutical and healthcare.

It boasts a proven track record across all aspects of the trade and their in-depth knowledge of areas such as process instrumentation, structured cabling and medium-to-high voltage installations makes them the obvious choice for clients who require a totally dependable and professional electrical engineering service.

In January 2005, the decision was taken by the Tim Kelly Group to expand into the Mechanical industry by purchasing this highly regarded company, Thomas McManamon & Co. Ltd.

The company is now the leading mechanical contractor to the pharmaceutical industry with a highly skilled team install and construct an array of mechanical systems. Hi-purity gas and water installations, heating and plumbing, clean room systems, process pipework and stainless steel fabrication are all included.

Lastly, Tekcon Engineering Services is a specialist division of the Tim Kelly Group, which offers clients a complete service from inception to completion, through all the stages of construction, mechanical and electrical services to final fit-out handover.

“We’re both a mechanical and electrical company and at the moment we’re concentrating on a lot of hospitals, schools and pharmaceutical plants,” said the Managing Director.

“We do a lot of maintenance work as well and specialise in piping, air conditioning and ventilation systems.”

With a wide range of related services, verifiable standards of quality and safety, a policy of constant innovation and many years of invaluable experience is what the Tim Kelly Group offers its clients.

As the company they strive to deliver an excellent quality service on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.

Past projects have shown this, with NUI Galway, Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar, Roscommon Decentralised Offices, Castlerea Prison, GSK Sligo Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, Tesco Maynooth and Knock Basilica  are some of the most notable ones for the company in the more recent past.

At present, Tim Kelly Group has an array of different projects going on all throughout Ireland and come December the Garda Divisional Headquarters in Galway will be one of the company’s primary focuses.

“That’s one of the bigger ones that we’re doing for the OPW and we have work for the HSE and NUI Galway on-going as well,” explained Tim.

“We’ve a job coming up for a big printing company in Dublin at the minute as well and I’d rather not mention the name just yet. We’ve also had Bank of Ireland and Tesco as clients for us there in the past as well.”

Outside of Dublin, Tim Kelly Group was one of the first outfits in the country to receive ISO standard accreditation and the man himself is proud to explain:

“We are one of the first companies outside of Dublin to be awarded the ISO over 25 years ago now and we’ve continued to keep our standards since then.”

It is the policy of this Company to operate a Quality Assurance System that will fully meet the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and to produce a service which conforms to the customers’ and the company’s’ specified standards of quality, reliability and performance.

In order to achieve this, it is necessary to continually improve and update our systems and target company goals and measurable quality objectives, which are set and reviewed within the framework of the Management Review meetings.

The economic cost of quality is of prime importance.

‘Quality’ is also the prime reason why the company’s clients continue to choose them first time and time again, according to Tim.

“Our clients know that they get a quality job done by quality workers here,” he stated.
