Founded in June 2015 by Nick Penston, PMEP Consulting Ltd has enjoyed a meteoric rise which was reflected in its success at the 2018 National Electrical Awards that took place in the Mansion House, Dublin on May 11 last.
The leading mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy practice received a Special Recognition Award for its work on the award-winning Hubspot, Dublin office project. PMEP (Penston MEP) Consulting worked alongside Henry J Lyons and Sonica on the project, which also scooped the Small Commercial Project of the Year accolade.
The work on the new offices for the marketing software firm was carried out within a tight timescale, yet required an innovative approach, particularly during the design stages. This is where PMEP Consulting’s experience and expertise came into play.
“We were delighted to win the award. It’s great recognition for our company and what we do,” enthuses managing director Nick Penston, who has almost 30 years’ experience in the M&E sector.
“Our staff has grown from four to 14 in the last three years and we’ve been involved in some high-profile projects in that time. We provide a range of mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy services, taking projects from the initial design stages through to completion.
“Our top-class team is made up of mechanical and electrical engineers, CAD / REVIT technicians, administration staff and management. The other directors are my wife Michelle Hickey-Penston, who is HR & finance director, and Rory Harkin. Everyone plays their part.”
