The premier company in Ireland for insulation

16 Dec , 2019

Premier Insulations are the people to talk to if you want a warmer, energy efficient home with lower fuel bills – and who doesn’t want that? Government agencies, building developers and homeowners are keen to avail of their services and products.

The Birr, Co Offaly-based operation has been providing just that for people all over Ireland for more than thirty years, since its establishment back in 1984.

They have operated under management of Managing Director Brendan O’Carroll right from the beginning, and have built up unparalleled expertise and experience in providing home insulation and commercial insulation solutions to satisfied customers all over the country.

“We’ve grown from humble beginnings to now providing a nationwide service,” Brendan informed Building Ireland. “From our location here in Birr, anywhere in the country is accessible in a couple of hours.”

Brendan added: “Down through the years we have gained a reputation as being a reliable, professional and reputable company to deal with.  If any issue arises, we endeavour to  resolve out straight away and don’t run away from it. We’ve been trading under the one name for the last 35 years and that gives our customers peace of mind and a sense of dealing with a company who has huge credibility and experience in the new and retrofit insulation industry.

The wide range of insulation services Premier Insulations provide includes attic insulation, cavity wall insulation, 9 inch hollow block insulation and external wall insulation.

A growing part of their business is the removal of poor performing insulation from cavity walls through their insulation extraction process and refilling the cavities with the most up to date platinum bonded bead system.   According to Brendan a large number of homes were pumped with wools and foams in the 80s and 90s which are not performing and resulting in the dwellings having poor heat retention.

Through their more than three decades in the insulation business they have seen competitors and products come and go, but Premier have always committed to using the best insulation products available on the market and the latest methodologies to improve insulation values and quality. As a result of the ISO certification and  Premiers Insulations’ commitment to quality, they are now suppliers and installers of leading insulation brands like ‘Certainfill’ Knauff , Foamfill  and Rockwool.

Premier Insulations are NSAI Certified , members of the National Installers Association of Ireland,  on the panel of SEAI for the delivery of  insulation retrofits under the Better Energy Warmer Homes and also the fully grant aided Warmer homes scheme for fuel poor homes.

Brendan and his strong team of highly skilled employees are proud to have earned a reputation as Ireland’s leading insulation company, and they work hard to keep it.

“We have seen a massive increase in demands for our products and services over the last few years and there is a growing public awareness of the benefits in upgrading insulation levels in the home and the impact on savings of heating costs together with helping the environment in the reduction of carbon emissions.

“Our current client base includes government agencies, builders and homeowners and business has been up year on year. It has been significantly up in the last 12 months in particular partly due to an increase in activity in the new builds as the economy recovers  and retrofit markets as people take advantage of the available incentives from SEAI and other agencies.

Premier provide a one stop shop in terms of insulation upgrades and provide free surveys from their home advisory team , recommend the required upgrades and do all the application and admin work to assist the homeowner in availing of available grants.

In fact Premier will deduct the grant monies from any balance owed and await payment directly from SEAI saving the homeowner all that unwanted hassle and paperwork.

When builders or homeowners touch base with Premier Insulations, they can expect to receive nothing less than professional customer service.  No matter how small or large the insulation project is, Premier Insulations have the knowledge, experience and infrastructure to deliver on time every time.

“We are not the cheapest in the market but we are not the dearest either,” Brendan pointed out. “We charge an honest price for an honest job and always give upfront impartial advice to our clients. We don’t sub-contract any work, we only use our in-house trained personnel and our employees are ambassadors for the company when they are out on a job. Judging by the number of referrals we are lucky to get, it’s obvious that they represent company in a positive manner.

“Looking ahead to the future, it’s an exciting time to be involved in this business and we will embark on expansion of the company to help us exploit this growing market,” he concluded.
