18 Oct , 2019

Alliance Mechanical Ltd specialises in commercial and industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. They are an engineering driven company, who believe that fully qualified and well managed staff perform quality work.

Alliance Mechanical Ltd offers a personal and detailed service to recognised customers. Over the years they have developed their expertise in their construction and management roles. They directly employ their own maintenance and installation engineers.

Alliance has been established since 2008 and are recognised as the provider of high-quality installations. They operate from their offices in Parkwest Enterprise Centre Clondalkin, Dublin 12.

Their geographical area of work is predominantly within Dublin. They also carry out jobs all over the country. This experience enables them to provide a high level of site management and economic site installation.

Managing Director Tony Barrett has many years’ experience in the industry. He is a qualified professional engineer and worked as a consulting engineer for fifteen years. Tony’s previous employers include VMRA Consulting Engineers and Jacobs Engineering. He admits that this design experience was invaluable and has allowed Alliance to complete design build projects as well as undertake traditional mechanical contracting. The quality of work has seen their customer base grow to include some very well-known companies.

“Our customer base would include Tescos, Mercantile Group, Precision Construction, J Mannings, Adston Construction, Porterhouse Group, Stephens Catering and many more,”  said Tony Projects completed recently include Tesco Liffey Valley, Cafe en Seine Dawson Street, Opium Wexford Street.

Alliance Mechanical Ltd pride themselves on providing their clients with an installation solution individually tailored to suit their specific requirements.

Tony and his team recognise the importance of high standards of quality in every aspect of the service it offers to clients, while integrating all aspects of a project to successfully deliver the highest quality buildings and infrastructure for their customers’ needs.

“We have always focused on providing a top quality service and the best form of advertising for us is through word of mouth. If you do a good job and have a reputation for doing good work then potential clients will hear about you and thankfully that is how it has worked out for us.”

Tony admitted that the ‘hands on’ approach is one that he adopted from the early days and he stressed to us the importance of being on-site and working with the client directly.

“Each installation is project managed by our expert project management team, working with our highly industry trained engineers who pride themselves on delivering a high quality installation regardless of the project size. I would be on-different sites every day. This allows me to see first hand progress and address any issue.  Also our clients seem to like this as they can talk with me directly.”

No matter what type of project, Alliance Mechanical Ltd have the expertise and know-how to deal with any issues that may arise, putting the clients’ mind at ease.

“Whether your project is the refurbishment of an existing retail unit or an entirely new build we have the knowledge and experience to deliver. Our business success is dependant upon the skills of our team; on site engineers, project managers, designers and administrators. We strive to exceed our customer expectations.”

Alliance Mechanical has enjoyed success over the years and is due to the dedication and commitment of their workforce. This approach has been most beneficial on providing the highest industry standards for their clients.

“Our team is made up of fifteen employees. Our office staff include Nikki McCormack (Office Manager)and Karen Doyle (Accounts Manager). Our office staff are the engine of our company. The remainder of our staff are based on sites or involved with the maintenance side of the business. The majority of our staff are with us since we started in 2008. They know what I expect from them and they always deliver.”

Tony stated that it was a conscious decision to keep Alliance at a controllable size.

“It was never my intention to get too big. I have seen a lot of companies come and go in the construction industry because they got too big. I feel that by remaining the size of company we are allows us to manage our projects, employees and overheads far more efficiently.

“There has been a massive upturn in work over the past couple of years, even this year is busier again and we have enough work to keep us going for the remainder of the year. We are growing with our customers, but you have to be able to control it and we are managing to do that.”

Health and Safety is a key issue in the construction industry and Tony revealed that they place a great deal of emphasis on this area.

“We maintain an extensive health and safety system to ensure all aspects of our activities are controlled and legislative requirements are met. We have had no accidents, injuries or insurance claims since we started Alliance Mechanical. We take great pride in this record.  Every project is micro-managed, so that every detail is taken care of.”

Alliance Mechanical Ltd is committed to conserving the environment and natural resources. Their aim is to continually improve their processes and services to reduce environmental impact and, where possible, improve the existing environment.

Tony is pleased with the direction of the business and feels that there are opportunities to expand, but stressed that every decision would be taken with the utmost caution.

“There is plenty of work out there, especially in the Dublin area where we would carry out the majority of our work.

“The business is going well and we are happy with the level we are presently at. Like I said, I like where we are. We have gathered a team of people that have proven ability in the industry to deliver on time cost and quality. We aim to keep building on existing alliances and are confident we will be able to create new opportunities going forward. ”
