Specialists in fit-out and refurbishment

5 Feb , 2018

Paramud Brothers Ltd are a specialist fit-out and refurbishment contractors with a proven track record in the commercial, healthcare, education and residential sectors. Igor Paramud is one half of the company’s directorship and told Building Ireland about the services they provide as well as some of their recent projects.

Operating from Limerick, Paramud Brothers Ltd are experiencing busy times at present and Igor and Yuriy Paramud are keen to keep things that way.

Commitment to safety and the delivery of projects to strict deadlines over the past 11 years has ensured Paramud Brothers Ltd repeat business from both clients and main contractors.

Company co-director Igor Paramud took time from what has become an increasingly busy schedule as of late to fill Building Ireland in on what they’re all about.

“We set-up in 2006 and myself and my brother Yuriy are the two shareholders of the company,” Igor outlined.

Igor himself is a Commercial Director with 16 years’ experience in commercial, healthcare, educational and refurbishment projects and also has a strong background in phased hand-over developments.

Yuriy is a Financial Director with 12 years’ experience in general building and restoration projects.

The company’s Projects Manager and Health & Safety Officer is Vilius Simkus  who has 16 years’ experience in building and engineering projects with strong emphasis on fast track commercial developments.

The company’s qualified staff and technical relationships with Armstrong, Rockfon, Gypsum, SIG and Weber means that they can provide bespoke solutions to clients’ requirements.

With a team of experienced personnel, Paramud Brothers Ltd provide a complete range of building services which can be tailored to suit specific site requirements.

Business is certainly good right now for Paramud Brothers Ltd and 2017 has already seen a number of high profile projects completed.

PB has completed several substantial fit out projects with the highest quality for the past years. Clients include JJ Rhatigan & Company, Mythen Construction, STEWART, MAC group and JP Construction.

PB has large experience in the Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Pharmaceutical, Education and Residential projects. The latest projects we completed Tullamore Regional Hospital, Northern Trust, Trinity College, Millenium Park Development, MSD International Switzerland, St. Johns College, HSE Bellvilla Community Units, UCC Cork, IT Carlow, IT Athlone, Roscommon CC, Kishouge College, UL Limerick Bundle 3&2 Schools and smaller fit out PTSB banks and AIB banks

One of the past high profile fit out projects was the Savoy Hotel in Limerick, Hilton Hotel in Limerick.

The work which Paramud Brothers Ltd carried out included internal fit out of the luxury hotel facility, including construction of bespoke curved ceilings, architectural features and specialist partitions.

Construction of ornamental balustrades and light features to lobbies and stairways was also included and the project also involved a close liaison with mechanical and electrical design and installation teams to achieve highest possible finishes on a stringent programme.

With regards to one of the educational projects, the company’s University of Limerick project was delivered ahead of schedule.

The clients on the project were University Limerick and JJ Rhatigan Ltd and it involved the installation of specialist acoustic ceiling and wall systems which incorporated acoustic performance with visually striking finishes.

Paramud Brothers Ltd worked in conjunction with main contractor and design team to provide system solutions achieve the functionality of this high spec building combined with exacting architectural finishes.

The firm is not confined to taking on projects in Ireland only, as Igor outlined:

“We completed a project in Switzerland a recently and we’re looking into the UK market right now,” he said.

“In Ireland, things are going well and the country seems to be busy again in construction. Hopefully the next couple of years will be just as busy and we can keep going like this.”

It’s a far cry from when Paramud Brothers Ltd first set-up in 2006, with the economic downturn soon following and the Irish construction industry being devastated in the ensuing years.

Igor doesn’t try to hide the fact that the first few years after the company’s inception were tough ones to try and get things up and running.

“The recession did affect us but it wasn’t that big a problem, to be honest. We just tried to keep busy and get on with life,” he said.

So what’s been the secret to success so far? How is it that Paramud Brothers Ltd’s clientele tend to choose them first ahead of other competitors in the industry?

Igor feels that offering an excellent service has a lot to do with it.

“I think we do a good job and people recognise that. We do the job and move on and just try to stay as busy as well can,” the company’s co-director stated.

So what’s on the agenda for the remainder of 2017 and the coming years?

“Our plan here is to just keep growing the business more and more,” said Igor. “If we can make more projects and fit-out and grow the business – that’s the plan – and I am sure that we can keep doing that.”

Great to hear.
