Over the past 25 years, Signature Windows & Doors has established itself as the first port of call for bespoke, premium window and door solutions. Building Ireland had a chat with marketing manager Jamie Hackett to find out more about the range of commercial and residential products offered by this industry-leading operation.
From its bases in Dunlavin, County Wicklow and Rathmines, Dublin 6, Signature Windows & Doors delivers an extensive array of premium, bespoke solutions to home owners, developers, main contractors and the construction industry in general, working to the very highest standards on residential and commercial projects alike, including replacement windows and doors, extensions and new builds.
Down through the years, the company has supplied unrivalled products and workmanship on major projects for a who’s who of clients. At the time of writing, for example, one of their ongoing projects was the supply and installation of wood windows and doors to Ireland’s first forest resort, Centre Parcs, Longford, which features a bespoke curtain walling system. This large-scale project is being constructed by John Sisk & Son and is due to open next summer.
Since the company was established by managing director Ger Mooney a quarter of a century ago, Signature Windows & Doors has consistently worked to the very highest standards pertaining to industry, providing premium solutions that have seen Signature – the authorised distributor for Andersen Windows and Doors, UPB and Megrame Export windows and doors in Ireland – go from strength to strength on the back of a steady volume of repeat business and positive referrals.
Marketing manager Jamie Hackett points out that Signature’s window and door range can be divided into three themes: “Firstly, there’s a traditional wooden window and door range. We also offer a contemporary slimline aluclad range, which is one of the first to feature a thermal break between the aluminium and wood, resulting in passive -near passive U Values and a very high performing water management system. Meanwhile, Andersen is a premium window and door collection with a classical design.”
Manufactured by Megrame and designed by Signature Windows with exceptional aesthetics and unparalleled performance, the traditional wooden window and door range (including weighted and sprung sliding sash windows, casement windows, fixed and shaped windows, top-hung windows, front doors and French doors) matches indigenous UK and Irish styles.
Four traditional profiling options are available for frame and sash, with five standard sash horn types to meet bespoke requirements. Any RAL colour and dual colour option for interior and exterior can be provided. Bespoke design and glass options are available, backed up by an extensive 10 -year warranty as standard.
The contemporary-styled slimline aluminium clad wood windows and doors offer modern designs and unmatched performance. Offering contemporary glazing profiles, passive standard U-value and optimum energy efficiency, sound-deadening performance and high-security glazing options in double- or triple-glazed, this range includes the largest lift & slide door available in the Irish and UK market (6m x 2.8m in two panels).
This Innovative Energy-Efficient and Water-Tight Window design achieves the highest energy efficiency and durability in the industry today. This state-of-the-art sustainable system offers the most cost-effective thermal efficiency windows solution to any passive building project, its traditional Scandinavian window design combining modern shapes, faultless functionality and superior quality.
Andersen’s premium, exclusive aluminium clad wood windows and doors are designed to complement homes with luxury.
