Minister Damien English launches €22m Scheme as Tùath Housing Marks 4,000 Home Milestone

25 Jul , 2018

Ramparts Green is a scheme of 105 homes delivered under fast-tracked (Part 8) planning in collaboration with the Department of Housing, Louth County Council, Túath Housing, North & East Housing Association and Urbanlife.  The first phase of 10 homes has now been handed over and all phases are expected to be finalised by Spring 2020.

The €22 million scheme, when completed, will consist of 30 apartments, 30 duplexes and 45 houses, acquired between Tùath Housing and North & East Housing Association.  All tenants to be housed are from the current Louth County Council housing list.

Speaking at the launch, Tùath Housing Chief Executive Sean O’Connor explains: “Ramparts Green is an excellent example of collaboration in action and this collaboration is a testament of government and stakeholder commitment to ReBuilding Ireland for the benefit of local communities.  Urbanlife commenced on site in late 2017 and have worked closely with Túath and North & East’s Development and Technical teams to ensure delivery of high quality houses in a timely manner. We look forward to working together over the next eighteen months or so, and have every confidence the high standard will be maintained and all homes will be delivered by Qtr 1 2020.”
