Mercury completed 10.5 million hours worked recordable injury free in 2021.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication of all their employees and supply-chain partners who are living Mercury’s anchor value of safety.
Their safety efforts are global, with their teams carrying out works on 40+ projects across 12+ countries last year. 2021 saw Mercury maintain an Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) of 0.06 for the second successive year, well below the industry average.
Michael O’Connor, Group EHS Director said: “The outstanding project results achieved by Mercury’s teams across Ireland, the UK and Europe are something our people should be proud of. These achievements and milestones for 2021 reflect the hard work, dedication, commitment, core safety values and standards that our management and teams strive for and ensure that our people can work safely and return home safely every day.
“Congratulations to all who contributed to making this fantastic achievement happen. I would like to thank all of our staff and supply-chain partners for supporting and collaborating with us to achieve these incredible milestones. Ultimately we are all one team and every member strives to get our people home safely to their families every day.”
