With values such as skill, quality, integrity, creativity, responsibility and knowledgeability as the cornerstone of their approach to their work, it should come as no surprise to anyone to learn that Fergal Grant Construction(Building & Groundworks Contractor) has a wide range of successful projects under their belt and many satisfied customers.

If it’s a reputable building and groundworks contractor in the South East that you’re looking for, look no further than Fergal Grant Construction. Covering all aspects of residential, commercial and restoration, the County Kilkenny-based company can help you transform your property.

Established in 2007 by Fergal Grant, FGC is backboned by over 20 years’ experience in construction. They provide services for a wide variety of work from conservation and restoration to new houses and extensions, plant hire and landscaping using only the highest standards in workmanship and materials.

“I grew up in the construction industry from a very early age, working in the family construction business. From there I progressed into various management roles over the years with some prominent companies in the south east.”

“Then, in 2007, when the recession took hold I felt the best option was to go down the route of setting up my own business. I was confident with the knowledge and experience I had gained over the previous few years that we could make a good go of it”

Under Fergal’s direction, FGC Construction has come a long way since its humble beginnings and when it comes to residential work, they pride themselves on their relationships with their clients in creating and bringing their dream homes to life.

Whether a new home, extension or outdoor living space, FGC has many satisfied customers throughout the South East

They also boast in-depth experience of working on commercial projects ranging from factory maintenance to office conversions, concrete floors, kerbs, site services, roadways and car parks.

The company’s curriculum vitae also includes numerous successfully completed restoration and conservation projects on a range of historic Irish buildings. Fergal and his team pride themselves on attention to detail and being sympathetic to each buildings individual character, along with the client’s individual requirements.

Another string to Fergal Grant Construction’s bow is their complete plant hire and groundwork’s service, from site clearance, concrete and formwork, sewer and storm drainage, site services, land drainage, landscaping, roadways, paths, septic tanks and percolation beds along with providing Diggers, Dumpers, Teleporters and Skid Steer Loaders for hire.

Known for their exceptional workmanship, they take great pride in providing their customers with nothing but the finest service.

“We started out primarily in groundworks in 2007 but in the recession we found ourselves taking on more and more building projects. As my background was mainly in buildings anyway, I was delighted to get back into doing extensions and renovations, basically seeing projects through from start to finish” Fergal outlined

“For example, we have worked on a number restorations and old houses using the traditional methods of lime renders etc. We recently completed restoration of a round tower, which is around 200 years old, which turned out fantastic and was an all round great project to work on.”

Fergal continued: “We mainly cover the entire south east region but our factory maintenance and shut down projects have taken us all around the country.”

So why do clients continue to engage FGC’s services on a repeat basis? “We give good service, quality and they get value for money, end of story,” he answered without hesitation.

Looking ahead to the future, Fergal is confident that the progressive company’s graph will maintain an upward trajectory.

“I’d be optimistic, there has certainly been more confidence around the market since 2015. We’re expanding all the time with machinery and men on the ground but we’re not planning on getting too big either as we do not want to lose the personal touch or attention to detail.”

If you have a project in mind, no matter how big or small, feel free to call Fergal or send an email for advice and a free no hassle quote. You won’t be disappointed!
