Owers Electrical’s staff numbers have been restored to where they were before the recession, reflecting the recovery in the construction sector.
“We’re back up to 30 staff, which was the number we had before the downturn. While the recession provided many tough challenges, we never went a day without work. We always had something on. We also used that time to upskill and that has stood us in good stead.
“We never take on more than we can handle because it would damage relations with clients. We have worked hard over the years to establish strong relations with our customers and will always go out of our way to look after their requirements,” Brian adds.
The company is currently working on new school builds for the Department of Education in Midleton, Kinsale and New Ross (x2) and has recently been appointed to the Court House in Cork city. It has also undertaken the electrical work on the bar and restaurant upgrade at the Montenotte Hotel in Cork city, and carries out regular maintenance work at the Minteq International Inc, BOC Gases, Carbon Group and Freefoam Plastics plants on Leeside.
