Established in 1992 by Brian King, this highly-regarded contractor has earned a reputation for quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, exceptional attention-to-detail as well as an ability to complete all projects on time and within budget. Specialising in the supply and installation of electrical services to a variety of sectors, including retail, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, fitout, restoration, prisons and Government, Brian King Engineering prides itself on the high quality of its management systems and ability to meet the technical demands of the modern building industry.

In addition, the company offers services such as provision of maintenance services, routine Test & Inspection surveys and PAT Testing. Its work ethos ensures proper planning and execution of each project within the triple constraint of project management – time, budget and quality. Brian continues to head up the business along with his wife Doreen and son Ralph, who are also directors, senior partner / director Paul Kilduff, junior partners Tony Johnson and Brian Kelly, and a 40-strong team of highly-skilled engineers, site managers, foremen, electricians and apprentices.

“Our people are what make us tick,” the affable managing director explains.

“We have a top-class management and workforce, many of whom have been with us since we started out in the business 27 years ago. They have acquired a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience over that time and enjoy a great rapport with our clients, which leads to constant call back work and repeat business.

“We work in conjunction with the main contractor on many contracts and enjoy an excellent working relationship with both them and our clients.”

While Brian King Engineering are primarily electrical contractors, they are regularly called on to become the ‘project supervisor for construction stage’ by clients who use the efficiency of their management systems to run entire projects. One of the company’s strengths lies in the skill of its contract managers and foremen, who are all long-time employees and take immense pride in the completion of every project.

The majority of the Co. Meath firm’s work is carried out under the direction of consulting engineers and architects, and its flexible approach to each project makes life that bit more efficient for all concerned. Brian King Engineering also provides a preventive maintenance programme and service contracts for all clients covering all aspects of building maintenance, including PAT Testing, Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting tests.
