Adston Shortlisted for Two Major Irish Construction Excellence Awards

12 Feb , 2018

Adston, one of the UK and Ireland’s leading construction companies, has been shortlisted for two major Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards, which include the ICE Award for Innovation in Construction and the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Award.

Adston CEO, Francis Smith, on being shortlisted as a finalist in two categories, said, “It is a great privilege to be shortlisted in two separate award categories at the highly prestigious ICE Awards. These awards recognise the excellence of the construction industry in Ireland.”

Founded in 1993, and reinvigorated for 2018, the Irish Construction Excellence Awards will celebrate the best in Irish Construction industry at a Gala Event in the Mansion House, Dublin on Friday 23 March 2018.

Francis continues, “This shortlisting has allowed us an opportunity to showcase our capabilities in the industry and more importantly for our clients. Innovation and Safety are at the forefront of all that we do at Adston and both award categories highlight our commitment to these areas.”

The ICE Innovation in Construction Award celebrates those companies that have demonstrated excellence in the way it has applied technical expertise and an innovative method of construction to improve the ease and efficiency with which structures can be built on a project completed.

Francis adds; “The Cherry Orchard project is a great development and a great example of innovation in construction with the use of off-site construction. With high quality factory assembly units delivered direct to site, there was significantly less waste for our on-site contractors. The end result was the creation of beautiful homes for many families to enjoy for years to come.”

“For us, Health and Safety is at the core of Adston’s business offering and will remain the number one priority in all of our projects and throughout the organisation.

“The team at Adston should be extremely pleased of being finalists for two ICE Awards. Without their efforts, the company would not have achieved this recognition. We are very proud to be finalists and wish our fellow finalists the very best of luck on the evening of Friday 23rd March.”
